Man Defeats 82 Women to Win Ladies Poker Tournament After Being Allowed to Enter Under Anti-Discrimination Law

A Florida man who won a women’s no-limits Texas Hold’em poker tournament is being accused of exploiting loopholes in the state’s anti-discrimination laws.

On Saturday, bearded Delton resident David Hughes, 70, paid the $250 to enter the World Series of Poker’s Ladies event inside the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Fla., and went on to defeat 82 biological women, walking out with sweet victory and a cool $5,555.
