US Military Takes Down ‘Octagonal’ Object Over Great Lakes Region

The U.S. military took down another object that was flying over Lake Huron, according to a Michigan House lawmaker on Feb. 12, as another lawmaker revealed it had an  “octagonal structure.”

“I’ve been in contact with DOD regarding operations across the Great Lakes region today. The US military has decommissioned another ‘object’ over Lake Huron. I appreciate the decisive action by our fighter pilots,” Rep. Jack Bergman (R-Mich.) wrote on Twitter at around 3:30 p.m. ET.

Bergman told Fox News on Sunday evening that the object had an “octagonal structure” and was shot down by an F-16 jet at 20,000 feet. He cited Pentagon officials for that information.

“They informed me than a F-16 … shot down and octagonal structure over Lake Huron,” Bergman said in a phone interview aired by Fox News. Officials are working to recover the debris, he added, saying that there was “no damage to human life or property.”
