Tesla EV Owner Discovers Battery Will Not Charge Due to Cold Weather – On Christmas Eve!

The owner of a Tesla S EV discovered his car’s battery would not charge during last week’s winter storm that impacted major parts of the US.

In footage uploaded to TikTok, Virginia radio host Domenick Nati showed how he was unable to charge his vehicle at a charging station in cold weather, as his vehicle continued to give him a  “Battery is heating — keep charge cable inserted” message.

Speaking to Business Insider, Nati noted, “Two hours went by and not much changed… It was very slow and the numbers got lower as the temperature dropped. Eventually, it stopped charging altogether.”

To make matters worse, Nati experienced the issue on Christmas Eve, ruining his holiday plans.

The EV nightmare is a cautionary tale for those wanting to venture out of the gas-powered vehicle market.
