Reverend suggests racism partially to blame for prosecutor’s charges

Baltimore’s Empowerment Temple AME asked God to protect the accused prosecutor in the court room and to shield her from “the fiery darts of the enemy”

The state’s attorney for Baltimore requested God’s intervention at a church on Sunday after being charged with perjury and falsifying documents, as the reverend suggested racism was at least partially to blame for the indictment.

Marilyn Mosby, the 25th state’s attorney for Baltimore, was “surrounded in a prayer circle” at the Empowerment Temple AME Church in Baltimore before she told the congregation she believes God is on her side and that “the fight is already fixed in my favor.”

Mosby claimed she was innocent of the charges and had “done nothing wrong,” before Reverend Robert Turner led a prayer calling on God to provide protection against “the fiery darts of the enemy.”

In a sermon titled ‘He dropped the charges’, which likened Mosby’s case to Jesus forgiving an adulterer, Rev. Turner appeared to claim racism was at play in Mosby’s indictment.

Senior prosecutor praised by Kamala Harris is indicted on federal charges

“One sad fact about today is social media can allow people to be charged, accused, before you ever set foot in a courtroom,” he said, adding, “As a people of African descent, we have been charged before we even got here. They charged us while we were minding our business in Africa.”

Pointing out that the Devil is “a liar,” the reverend asked God to “protect [Mosby] and be her advocate in her courtroom.”

According to prosecutors, Mosby – who was being paid a salary of $240,000 per year – claimed she was struggling financially during the Covid-19 pandemic so she could take $90,000 out of her retirement account. Mosby then allegedly used the money to buy two vacation homes in Florida.

Cult-owned-and-created Microsoft launches ‘inclusivity’ checker – another Woke joke

Microsoft Word has started offering ‘politically correct’ alternatives to some words and expressions, but a new “inclusive language feature” has left many users unimpressed.

The tech giant announced last year that it was working “to remove non-inclusive language commonly found within the technology and cybersecurity sectors.”

In line with that goal, the latest version of Microsoft Word in Office 365 has an additional editor tool that suggests “more inclusive” alternatives to commonly used words and phrases that might offend someone in relation to gender, age, sexual orientation, ethnicity, and socioeconomic status. When the new function is used, any potentially offensive words, like all other ‘errors,’ are underlined, allowing the writer to fix them if they wish.

According to media reports, the new tool suggests, for example, replacing “mankind” with “humankind” or “humanity,” and offers to change “maid” to the genderless “house cleaner” and, in a similar vein, “mistress” to “lover.” It recommends using “principal” instead of “headmaster” and “workforce” in place of “manpower.”

‘China is a threat… NOT a competitor’: Iain Duncan Smith accuses ‘successive governments’ of being ‘asleep at the wheel’ over Beijing’s influence at heart of Westminster while ex-MI5 chief says ministers failed to act on warnings

Former Conservative leader Sir Iain Duncan Smith has said the targeting of MPs by suspected Chinese agent Christine Lee was ‘just the tip of the iceberg’.

In an interview with Sky News‘ Trevor Phillips On Sunday programme today, he said that ‘successive governments have been completely asleep at the wheel’ over the issue.

China, over the years, has so dominated us in a way that we are now completely dependent on them on a whole series of items and articles.

‘Far too many officials and ex-ministers then left and retired and gone and taken money from China, so the very fact that they are in trying to persuade and infiltrate and subvert people within our political system is nothing new at all, but the worst bit about it is that too many governments seem too cautious about calling it out.’

Mr Duncan Smith said it was ‘very important that we recognise China as a threat, not as a competitor’.

He called China’s ruling communist party a ‘brutal, dictatorial, ghastly regime’.
