Hamas has released a hostage ‘proof of life’ video which is now being widely shared online and reported on, per Israeli media:

The short video shows a young woman, 21-year-old Mia Schem, being treated after she was wounded in her arm, and later speaking to the camera.

Schem was kidnapped by Hamas terrorists on October 7 while taking part in the desert rave in Kibbutz Re’im, where the gunmen also massacred over 260 festival-goers.

She tells the camera she was operated on for three hours and that “I’m being cared for, I’m getting medications. I’m only asking for me to be returned home as soon as possible, to my family, to my parents, to my siblings. Please get me out of here as soon as possible.” Schem’s family reacts to the clip, saying: “We’re happy.”

The IDF has reacted to the video, saying Hams “tries to present itself as a humanitarian organization while in fact it is a murderous terror group, responsible for the murders and kidnappings of babies, women, children and the elderly.”

There’s growing speculation that the IDF hasn’t launched a ground invasion yet due to threats being made by Iran and its ally Lebanese Hezbollah. And it’s not just enemies of Israel that are saying this, but The Jerusalem Post reports Monday that a prime reason for the offensive being stalled is the fear Hezbollah will get involved.

However, the IDF Northern Command has been tasked with ensuring complete readiness of defenses on the Lebanese border in case Hezbollah does get involved. The JPost writes:

A number of factors seem to have caused a delay, but sources have told The Jerusalem Post that one factor has been a growing concern that Hezbollah is waiting for the moment that most IDF ground forces are committed to Gaza to open a full front with the IDF in the north.

Iran is meanwhile ratcheting threats, perhaps as part of a strategy to bolster those voices inside Israel who are urging caution and restraint. Iran’s foreign minister has issued an ‘all options on the table’ kind of statement:

The Pentagon has reportedly selected about 2,000 troops to prepare for a deployment to help Israel as a second carrier strike group steams for the eastern Mediterranean.

Officials said the troops will not serve in a combat role but would be tasked with medical support or advisory duties.

Details emerged on Monday after the Department of Defense said the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower strike group, which deployed from Norfolk, Virginia, on Friday, is on its way.

She will join the USS Gerald R. Ford, which arrived off the coast of Israel last week.

The presence of two of the Navy’s most powerful warships will send a clear signal to Iran and its regional proxies, such as Hezbollah, not to escalate the conflict.

It comes as Israel continues to mass troops and military hardware around the Gaza Strip, from where Hamas gunmen launched a surprise assault on Israel, killing at least 1,300 people.

Officials cited by the Wall Street Journal also said some 2,000 troops were being prepared to deploy in a sign that Washington was ready to assist Israeli troops in the event of a ground invasion of Gaza.

President Joe Biden abandoned plans to travel to Colorado to deliver a speech on ‘Bidenomics’ on Monday.

Instead he huddled with key national security officials.

‘This morning, President Biden and Vice President Harris were briefed by their national security team on the latest updates in the wake of Hamas’s abhorrent attack in Israel and the resulting conflict in Gaza,’ said a White House official.

‘Chief of Staff Jeff Zients joined the briefing led by National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan, Director of National Intelligence Avril Haines, and Director of the Central Intelligence Agency Bill Burns.’

Western leaders have lined up to urge Israel to follow international law and not trigger a wider regional conflagration.

Iran told Israel via the United Nations it would intervene if operations in Gaza continued, a report claimed, as Israel readied a ‘wide range of offensive operational plans’ including a ‘joint and coordinated attack [on Gaza] from the air, sea and land.’

Diplomatic sources told Axios that while Iran did not want the conflict to escalate, it was prepared to intervene either directly or indirectly, such as via a military group in Syria or Lebanon.

Schools in Lebanon remain closed amid fears of Israeli missiles targeting Hezbollah militants near the border. While Hezbollah has not formally joined the war, the group has clashed with Israeli forces several times this week.

Israel has called up 360,000 reservists as it prepares for its next move.

Against that backdrop, U.S. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin announced late Saturday that the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower was on its way.

‘The increases to U.S. force posture signal the United States’ ironclad commitment to Israel’s security and our resolve to deter any state or non-state actor seeking to escalate this war,’ he said.

On Monday, Secretary of State Antony Blinken was meeting with the Israeli ‘war cabinet’ in Tel Aviv.

The man who killed two Swedish football fans on Monday was reportedly injured in a shootout with officers

Brussels police have detained a suspect believed to have killed two Swedish football fans in an Islamic extremist attack, Interior Minister Annelies Verlinden has announced.

The man was cornered at a cafe in the Schaerbeek commune to the northeast of the Belgian capital, resulting in a shootout, news website Sudinfo reported on Tuesday morning. Brussels Mayor Philippe Close confirmed the development to BFMTV.

The suspect was apprehended alive and rushed to hospital, and reportedly suffered a cardiac arrest in the ambulance before being resuscitated.

The terrorist attack occurred on Monday evening, when a gunman opened fire on people attending a Euro 2024 qualifying match in Brussels, resulting in the game being called off at half-time.

Verlinden told the VRT broadcaster that the firearm found on the “neutralized person” matched the weapon used for the killings. Sudinfo said investigators were conducting a blood test to confirm the man’s identity.

Belgium declares ‘terror alert’ after two shot dead

After the initial shooting, the assailant injured a third person elsewhere in Brussels, according to Belgian media. Videos published online have shown a man wearing an orange jacket and riding a scooter, armed with an assault rifle.

In a video that the killer apparently recorded and posted online, he identified himself as Abdesalem Al Guilani, a supporter of the terrorist group Islamic State, (IS, formerly ISIS). He claimed that was avenging crimes against Muslims.

Belgian Justice Minister Vincent Van Quickenborne said the suspect was a 45-year-old Tunisian man who sought asylum in Belgium in November 2019. He was accused of people-smuggling and residing in the country illegally, the minister told a news conference on Monday.

Belgian Prime Minister Alexander De Croo has expressed his condolences to the Swedish people over the deaths of two of its nationals, and said the terrorist attack was fuelled by “blind hatred”.

The US president’s trip is a rare and risky choice as Washington tries to avert a broader regional war.

Yahel, who went missing with sister Noiya, was killed in the assault on Israel, her family have said.

The Biden administration has warned U.S. banks and other financial institutions that they can’t reject illegal immigrants’ credit applications based solely or predominantly on their immigration status.

The two agencies stated that they were issuing the warning “because consumers have reported being rejected for credit cards as well as for auto, student, personal and equipment loans because of their immigration status, even when they have strong credit histories and ties to the United States and are otherwise qualified to receive the loans.”

Specifically, the agencies cited the provisions of the Equal Credit Opportunity Act (ECOA), which protects credit applicants from discrimination based on such characteristics as race, religion, sexual orientation, and national origin.

The agencies argue that protections afforded by ECOA and other laws extend to alienage, so banks that have blanket policies to deny loans to illegal immigrants may be breaking the law.

“Lenders should not deny people the opportunity to take out a loan to buy a home, build their businesses or otherwise pursue their financial goals because of unlawful bias and without regard to their actual ability to repay,” Assistant Attorney General Kristen Clarke of the DOJ’s Civil Rights Division said in a statement.

Kids may unknowingly be consuming an animal contraceptive when they eat a chicken sandwich at Chick-fil-A, according to a Moms Across America’s (MAA) report on veterinary drugs and hormones found in food served in the most popular U.S. fast food restaurants.

The nonprofit MAA this month released results from food samples tested for veterinary drugs, including antibiotics and hormones. Health Research Institute, a Fairfield, Iowa, nonprofit independent lab, conducted the testing.

The results showed that a Chick-fil-A chicken sandwich contained nicarbazin, an antiparasitic that also functions as a bird contraceptive.

Sixty percent of samples from the U.S.’ top 10 fast food chains also contained the antibiotic monensin, which can cause severe harm in humans and remains unapproved for human use by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

Zen Honeycutt, MAA’s founder and executive director, called the results “shocking” and “disturbing,” especially because some fast food chains supply school lunches.

Honeycutt and other healthy food advocates on Oct. 17 will present the test results to U.S. lawmakers during a congressional briefing on U.S. food toxicity.

“Thirty million school meals are served to our children each day,” Honeycutt told The Defender, “and for millions of underprivileged children, these toxic meals are their only access to nutrition.” She added:

“The impact of millions of Americans, especially children and young adults, consuming a known animal contraceptive daily is concerning.

“With infertility problems on the rise, the reproductive health of this generation is front and center for us, in light of these results.”

Commenting on MAA’s fast food testing initiative, attorney Michael Baum, a senior partner at Wisner Baum said:

“Toxins like the ones Moms Across America’s testing found in major fast foods don’t belong in anybody’s food, especially children’s food.

“Repeated exposure to them can build up and cause unexpected harms — kudos to Moms Across America for getting this testing done and published.”

I recently finished reading the new book by David Icke called The Dream (ISBN 9781838415334). He already wrote about the nature of our reality and immediate after-life sphere as being a simulation in the last book The Trap (ISBN 9781838415327).  In The Dream though he goes much deeper and explains how, where and by whom – or rather by what – the simulation was created and controlled and the reason for its existence. It boils down to our eternal consciousness our Divine Spark as he calls it in the book, being trapped in a virtual reality simulation being fed a “reality” we have come to believe as real. Our body is like a virtual reality headset, gloves and earphones decoding information fed to our senses by the AI computer running the simulation from the lower astral levels. Outside this simulation is Prime Reality, including Prime Earth, Source, All that Is – whatever you want to call it. When our body dies, our consciousness is misled into reincarnating again and again into the simulation (planet crazy) in an eternal cycle like a washing machine that never stops. Our memories of past lives are wiped to prevent us from realizing we are in a recycling machine.

Realizing our reality is a simulation has to completely change the way we view what life is about. Many if not most of us have been indoctrinated to believe that life is about advancing a career, making lots of money, having a big house, a fancy car, knowing important people (whatever that means) and then maybe as an aside, having a family, a good retirement plan, sending the kids to college and so on. It’s a rat race in a maze bound to create lots of negative emotions (loosh) – food for the demons and their system running the simulation. Realizing we live in a simulation, we must ask: WHAT IS THE POINT OF ALL THIS?  

The differences we have in opinions with others about politics, religion, gender, climate, culture, race and the bickering about minutiae in life all becomes irrelevant. It only serves to divide us, pin us against each other, divert focus from what really is important for all of us to grasp: It’s not real. We are all entrapped and need to get out of here or bring down the fake reality simulation.

Thus our priorities must change logically and organically. It’s no longer the Ferrari, the big house, the job, the money that matter but the love we have for others and others have for us. Realizing we are all in the same boat, the priority becomes being of service to our fellow divine sparks and finding a way out of the recycling machine. Once we realize this, we have the rest of this life to prepare and discover ways to get out of this recycling machine when our body dies and rejoin Prime Reality. If we don’t, we will forget everything we know and learned and in the next life we must rediscover all of it again, which may not happen for many lives.
