Elite Billionaire Foundations Fund Wave of Green Climate Propaganda Flooding into British Schools

Climate change misinformation is flooding into British schools, funded, it would appear, by the dark green money of elite billionaire foundations. Schoolchildren are encouraged to plot implausible temperatures rises of 11°C, taught that alkaline oceans are ‘acidic’ and encouraged to write letters to policymakers claiming “our house is on fire” in the style of Greta Thunberg.

The material is being distributed around schools by a London-based operation called Climate Science. An introductory video says its mission is to bring “high quality climate education to every school, company and individual in the world”. Such aims of course do not come cheap. Among the lobby group’s “partners, supporters and friends” are green activist funders such as Schmidt Futures – the family foundation of former Google boss Eric Schmidt – and the Grantham Institute at Imperial – partly funded by green billionaire investor Jeremy Grantham.

Give me the child until seven, and I will give you the man, said Aristotle, a phrase understood down the ages, not least by the Jesuit Christian order. Blind faith is more readily accepted by minds whose critical faculties have not been fully developed. And there are few ideas in today’s climate political agenda that require more faith than the forecasts of climate models. How exactly do we know about future climate change and the frequency of extreme weather events, asks Climate Science. “It’s all down to climate models,” is the answer, adding: It’s “pretty cool” to get a glimpse of a potential future, isn’t it?

The school briefing notes suggest that climate models “have been used to make accurate projections for the past 50 years, and have advanced significantly during this time”. Of course, as we have seen in the Daily Sceptic, those “accurate projections” do not apply to temperature forecasts. In fact, it would more accurate to say that they have never produced an accurate forecast in 50 years of trying. Far from becoming more accurate, they are becoming almost laughably inaccurate.

The above graph was produced in a recent paper by the physicist Nicola Scafetta. It analysed 38 of the main models and found that most had overestimated global warming over the last 40 years. Many of them should be “dismissed and not used by policymakers”, he concluded. The thick green line shows the actual temperature measured by accurate satellite recordings. Interestingly, the models started to go haywire at a time when the warming scare was gaining political traction and critical debate on the science started to be discouraged. The World Climate Declaration has been signed by almost 300 university professors, led by a Nobel physics laureate Professor Ivar Giaever. “We should free ourselves from the naïve belief in immature climate models,” says the Declaration. “In future, climate research must give significantly more emphasis to empirical science.”

The invasion of Ukraine has prompted militaries to update their arsenals – and Silicon Valley stands to capitalise

Silicon Valley is closer to the world’s militaries than ever. And it’s not just big companies, either – start-ups are getting a look in as well.

The war in Ukraine has added urgency to the drive to push more AI tools onto the battlefield. Those with the most to gain are start-ups such as Palantir, which are hoping to cash in as militaries race to update their arsenals with the latest technologies. But long-standing ethical concerns over the use of AI in warfare have become more urgent as the technology becomes more and more advanced, while the prospect of restrictions and regulations governing its use looks as remote as ever.

On 30 June 2022, NATO announced it is creating a $1 billion innovation fund that will invest in early-stage start-ups and venture capital funds developing “priority” technologies such as artificial intelligence, big-data processing, and automation.

The Chinese military likely spends at least $1.6 billion a year on AI, according to a report by the Georgetown Centre for Security and Emerging Technologies, and in the US there is already a significant push underway to reach parity, says Lauren Kahn, a research fellow at the Council on Foreign Relations. The US Department of Defence requested $874 million for artificial intelligence for 2022, although that figure does not reflect the total of the department’s AI investments, it said in a March 2022 report.

It’s not just the US military that’s convinced of the need. European countries, which tend to be more cautious about adopting new technologies, are also spending more money on AI, says Heiko Borchert, co-director of the Defence AI Observatory at the Helmut Schmidt University in Hamburg, Germany.

The French and the British have identified AI as a key defence technology, and the European Commission, the EU’s executive arm, has earmarked $1 billion to develop new defence technologies.

Since the war started, the UK has launched a new AI strategy specifically for defence, and the Germans have earmarked just under half a billion for research and artificial intelligence within a $100 billion cash injection to the military.

In a vaguely worded press release in 2021, the British army proudly announced it had used AI in a military operation for the first time, to provide information on the surrounding environment and terrain. The US is working with start-ups to develop autonomous military vehicles. In the future, swarms of hundreds or even thousands of autonomous drones that the US and British militaries are developing could prove to be powerful and lethal weapons.

Many experts are worried. Meredith Whittaker, a senior advisor on AI at the Federal Trade Commission and a faculty director at the AI Now Institute, says this push is really more about enriching tech companies than improving military operations.

In a piece for Prospect magazine co-written with Lucy Suchman, a sociology professor at Lancaster University, she argued that AI boosters are stoking Cold War rhetoric and trying to create a narrative that positions Big Tech as “critical national infrastructure,” too big and important to break up or regulate. They warn that AI adoption by the military is being presented as an inevitability rather than what it really is: an active choice that involves ethical complexities and trade-offs.

Despite the steady march of AI into the field of battle, the ethical concerns that prompted the protests around Project Maven haven’t gone away. The Pentagon’s Project Maven was an attempt to build image recognition systems to improve drone strikes. Google pulled out of Project Maven in 2018 following employee protests and outrage.

The JCVI is Right to Withdraw Boosters for Under-50s, But It’s Still Spinning the Stats

Recently the Joint Committee on Vaccines and Immunisations (JCVI), the body responsible for recommending which vaccines are appropriate for which individuals in the U.K., decided that healthy individuals under the age of 50 should no longer be offered the Covid vaccines. This decision appears to have been made based on a multitude of factors, including the facts that the vast majority of the population have now had Covid (so no need to provide them with the immune stimulation given by the vaccines) and that Omicron variants of Covid appear to be rather less likely to result in hospitalisation, compared with prior variants.

This decision could well be considered as being long overdue – indeed, I consider it rather alarming that this seemingly evidence-based decision was made in early November, yet the JCVI only bothered getting around to telling the population about its deliberations nearly three months later. There will have been many thousands of individuals, many considerably younger than 50, who were persuaded to get their booster vaccination after early November when even the JCVI thought there was very little need for them to receive this medical product. I consider this apparent laziness in keeping the population informed to be rather dubious from a medical ethics point of view.

Furthermore, I note that even though the JCVI’s own deliberations have resulted in the conclusion that the Covid vaccines will offer the healthy young very little in the way of benefit, the report’s authors nevertheless insist on mentioning how awful it is that some in the population have not received their primary course of vaccination – an inoculation that still targets the original Wuhan strain which has effectively been extinct for over two years at this point. “Appropriate and adequate communication should be provided… to optimise update among those who are eligible but have yet to receive the offer of vaccination,” they write.

What’s worse, I’ve even seen information from the Health Minister (a qualified solicitor with a degree in history) informing people that the time available to get their shot is running out and that they need to hurry to get jabbed.

We’re changing the Covid vaccination programme for 2023 after advice from the Joint Committee on Vaccination & Immunisation (JCVI).

The current autumn booster & some initial boosters end in England on 12 February so please come forward for a jab if eligible. pic.twitter.com/N6CaqLgjtb

Stuff the BBC Forgot to Tell You

Snotty Americans in Washington told India to stop buying oil and arms from Russia. The Indians were thrilled and grateful for this advice but the official response appears to be the diplomatic equivalent of ‘What the hell has it got to do with you?’
Judges are now reported to be forcing covid jabs (which don’t do what they are supposed to do but which do kill people) on mentally ill and the educationally subnormal. Dr Josef Mengele FRSA, the BBC’s special correspondent, was contacted by ouija board and told the BBC he was thrilled to bits.
If Jews or Muslims were treated as badly as Christians are treated there would be an outcry. A Christian woman was arrested for silently praying. Can you imagine the fuss if a Jew or Muslim (or anyone other than a Christian) were arrested for silently praying? And most retail establishments are now flogging Easter eggs as chocolate eggs – apparently determined to eradicate religion from Easter. Don’t buy a chocolate egg that doesn’t have Easter on the box. If I see one I’ll complain to the shop manager. She’ll probably say it’s not her fault – I’ll tell her it is and that as a member of an oppressed group (elderly white males) I feel ethnically violated.
Researchers have found that the pandemic was bad for young people. They’re wrong. The pandemic wasn’t bad because there wasn’t one. Young people have been devastated (permanently in many cases) by the lockdowns, the closure of schools, the social distancing, the stupid masks and the deadly covid-jabs which are now causing an epidemic of sudden death which the entire medical establishment began by denying and now finds inexplicable, though climate change cultists claim that the deaths are a result of either global warming or global cooling.
Someone from the Food Standards Agency claims that allowing cakes in offices is like passive smoking. That’s plain silly and patently nonsensical. The Food Standards Agency is just one of a myriad of utterly pointless and expensive public bodies. If all these agencies and quangos were closed, the Government could buy us all a cake each every week for life. That would be a much more sensible use of taxpayers’ money.
Our politicians consider themselves above the law. Sunak, for example, displays the sort of morality you’d expect from a former Goldman Sachs employee which is hardly surprising since he is one. Professional politicians used to be lawyers and that was bad enough. Now politicians were either bankers (often from Goldman Sachs) or lawyers. The BBC Chairman, who is alleged to have helped Boris Johnson fix up an £800,000 loan, is also an ex Goldman Sachs employee. Having been fined twice by the police, Sunak now surely qualifies as a recidivist and should be on probation. MPs get arrested often but nowhere near as often as they should. They shamelessly refuse to resign. We live in a world dominated by deceit, double dealing, fraud, greed and scarcely hidden agendas. I can’t think of a single professional politician in the world who could be described as honest, decent and respectable (by which I mean `worthy of respect’). And the people manipulating the politicians (the armies of lobbyists, the hedge fund operators, the investment bankers, the NGO officials) are universally corrupt and self-serving.

German Health Minister admits mistakes were made but blames advisors

Covid measures are gradually coming to an end in Germany – and soon the mask requirement on buses and trains will also be coming to an end. Yesterday, Federal Minister of Health Karl Lauterbach took stock and acknowledged mistakes: Schools and daycare centres, for example, had been closed for too long.

As Eugyppius pointed out, in 2020 Lauterbach said: “Schools drive the pandemic, the research is clear.”  In 2023, Lauterbach said: The belief that many infections occur in schools and day-care centres “did not prove to be correct in this way.”

How is it that so many others knew in 2020, such as the authors of The Great Barrington Declaration and its more than 936,000 signatories, but Lautenbach didn’t know until 2023?

Karl Lauterbach Admits “Mistakes” as Excess Mortality in Germany is 36% above Normal

The news of mortality in Germany at 36% above normal, and birth rates 10% below normal, becomes too hard to hide. The never-before-wrong, multiple-degreed health expert and German health minister Karl Lauterbach admits that “mistakes were made.”

He does not admit that closing schools was a mistake. He does not admit that force-vaccinating Germans with unproven, deadly vaccines causing 36% excess mortality was a mistake. The tiny error he is admitting is that the schools were closed for “too long.”

It gets worse from here. Who does Lauterbach blame for this?

That’s right, he blames nameless “scientists”:
