Indonesia trashes Pentagon’s ‘joint statement’ on China and Russia

Jakarta stressed its “non-aligned” status and said it seeks good ties with all countries

Indonesia’s military chief has denied issuing any shared statements with his US counterpart during a visit to Washington last week, after the Pentagon published a “joint” press release attributed to Jakarta which criticised Moscow and Beijing.

Speaking to reporters on Thursday, Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto suggested the US statement did not reflect his country’s positions, stating that Indonesia seeks friendly relations with both Russia and China.

“There is no joint statement and no press conference. What is important for me to underline is that our relationship with China is very good. We respect each other, we already have mutual understanding. I conveyed that in the US,” he said, adding “We are close friends with China, we respect America, and we seek friendship with Russia.”

The official went on to announce plans to visit Beijing and Moscow in the coming months, voicing hopes that Jakarta could serve as a “bridge” between rival states.

Russia and China have no border dispute – Moscow

The Pentagon missive, published on August 24 was titled “United States DoD and Indonesia MoD Joint Press Statement” and took on a different tone. It claimed that both the US and Indonesia “shared the view that the People’s Republic of China’s (PRC) expansive maritime claims in the South China Sea are inconsistent with international law.” It also went on to “jointly” condemn Moscow’s actions in Ukraine, demanding a “complete and unconditional withdrawal” of Russian forces.

Though Indonesia’s Defense Ministry noted Subianto’s meetings with Pentagon head Lloyd Austin, it made no mention of any joint statement with Washington, and offered no comments about Russia or China.

Beijing was quick to jump on the American statement, with China’s embassy in Jakarta claiming the remarks had not been approved by Indonesian officials beforehand.

“We’re informed by the Indonesian side that what the US side described is not true. In fact, no such content can be found in the press release by the Indonesian side at the same meeting,” the embassy told reporters last weekend, slamming US efforts to “to sow discord and stir up trouble.”

US Navy vows to counter China’s ‘aggressive behavior’ – media

During Subianto’s trip to the US, the two countries agreed to boost military cooperation, including joint war games and additional US weapons sales. The Pentagon further said Washington would help Jakarta’s military modernization drive, proposing “fighter aircraft upgrades, new multi-role fighter aircraft, and additional fixed and rotary wing transport aircraft,” among other gear.

Highlighting the growing military ties, Indonesian officials announced a deal to purchase 24 Sikorsky S-70M Black Hawk transport helicopters from US arms giant Lockheed Martin last week, soon after inking a major contract with Boeing for two-dozen F-15 fighter jets. Jakarta is working to revamp its air fleet, which currently operates systems from several different countries, including both US- and Russian-made fighter jets.

Yevgeny Prigozhin is seen in new footage ‘dismissing reports of his elimination’: Warlord insists ‘everything is fine’ in video filmed in Africa during ‘the second half of August’

A tantalising new video appears to show slain Russian warlord Yevgeny Prigozhincommenting on his ‘elimination’ in the days before he was reportedly killed.

It comes amid a wave of conspiracy theories that the Wagner boss may have cheated death by putting a body double on his doomed business jet which crashed in Russia on 23 August.

Many in the West believe he was assassinated at the behest of Vladimir Putin in revenge for the coup he led in June against the dictator’s regime.

In the footage, Prigozhin, 62, is seen wearing military fatigues in a car, and says: ‘For those discussing whether or not I am alive.

‘How am I doing? It’s the weekend, the second half of August [20]23. I am in Africa,’ he says, speaking to camera. ‘So fans of discussing my elimination, intimate life, earnings or whatever, as a matter of fact, everything is fine.’

The video was posted by Grey Zone, a Telegram channel linked to Wagner.

It did so without comment but an earlier post by the channel showing his grave was captioned: ‘He once said that the dead speak louder than the living. He proved it!’

Grey Zone did not say when the footage was filmed.

Yet the video – if genuine – does not prove Prigozhin is alive.

He is known to have been in Africa – where Wagner has interests and military operations – before returning to Moscow ahead of the air crash last week.

Pro-war Military Informant channel suspects the video was recorded on the weekend of 19-20 August, when he was in Africa – days before Russia said he and nine others were killed when his business jet came down near Moscow.

‘In just a few days, Prigozhin will return to Russia, where he will die on August 23 in the explosion of his Embraer Legacy 600 business jet in the Tver region,’ said the channel. ‘A special chill runs from the literally prophetic words of the head of the Wagner PMC, who ironically mentions his possible liquidation.’

Such a timing fits with the claim in the video that he was alive in Africa in the second half of August 2023. He does not mention the air crash in the footage.

All Secondary School Students in England To Be Offered Flu Vaccine

From September 1st, 2023, more than three million secondary school pupils in England will be offered a free flu vaccine the government has confirmed. Yet there has been no consultation with parents and most have no idea that the scheme is going ahead.

If you’ve not been warned, you’re not informed,” state the Informed Consent Matter group, who say they believe that “a new pandemic is being created and spread through the mass application of the flu nasal spray in schools, the illness this spray creates will then be blamed by government ministers on a “novel virus”.”

Schools Are Not Suitable Environments For Medical Procedures.

In May it was announced that primary school children were eligible for the flu vaccine, as were other groups at “higher risk of flu,” including people aged 65 years and over, pregnant women, and children aged two and three years old.

Now for the first time, the government is expanding the scheme to include all secondary school pupils in the form of a nasal spray, which has never been mass administered to this group before, as they are at such a minuscule risk from the flu.

An annual flu vaccine has been made available for free on the NHS to groups considered to be more at risk from the complications of the flu (which doesn’t generally cause serious complications for otherwise healthy people). This includes children aged 2-11 and the vaccine which is in nasal spray form, has been administered at school for most children who receive it.

This approach has raised concerns among various campaigning groups who observe that there are several safety issues and adverse events associated with the flu spray itself and schools are not a suitable environment for applying risky medical procedures to children –

Informed Consent Matters (ICM) approached a veteran GP for his comments on this situation, and said that the medical professional who is not anti-vaccine and has had more than 40 years of experience, said: This is ridiculous, a complete waste of money, this group does not need it at all.”

Targeting Children

This leads ICM to ask the question: “Why would the UK Government spend such a colossal amount of money vaccinating a huge group of people who are essentially at no risk from the condition the vaccine claims to prevent?

“If the vaccine works, then surely it is enough to vaccinate the vulnerable themselves, rather than expecting healthy children to take risky invasive medical products in a theoretical bid to act as “human shields” ICM argues, but “If the vaccine doesn’t work to protect vulnerable groups, then clearly, there is no point in giving it to anyone.”

The official” explanation is that schoolchildren are being vaccinated in order to protect more vulnerable groups, and in turn, the NHS, but just as ICM says, “The Government never spends large amounts of money on something unless there is an obvious benefit to them. The Government wishes to increase its power and control (as all governments do) and they learned throughout “Covid” just how much power they could have through creating fear of a “virus“.

So, it appears they are going to try this again – but increasing the fear factor (and therefore their own potential power and control) by this time targeting the threat at children.

Toxic Ingredients

The flu nasal spray, which is only given to under-18s, contains many known toxins (including neurotoxic monosodium glutamate, genetically modified organisms, and monkey kidney cells) – and could well contain unknown ones, too, since it is well documented that vaccines can contain undisclosed ingredients.

Obviously, spraying toxic ingredients – known and unknown – into children’s noses has the capacity to make them ill.

This is especially true as the flu nasal spray is known to shed, thereby causing the illness it is claiming to prevent according to the Informed Consent Matters Group, which cites a study in Hong Kong in 2021, that found 81% of the cases of flu in children were caused by the flu spray.

Government Plan to Install Heat Pumps in Homes When They Won’t Work is Branded ‘Desperate’ and ‘Unethical’

A Government plan to relax rules to allow heat pumps to be installed in uninsulated homes they will fail to heat properly has been branded “desperate” and “unethical”.

Faced with a widespread boycott of the pricey technology, ministers are hoping that they can kickstart uptake by removing the requirement that properties be adequately insulated before gas boilers are removed.

Campaign group Net Zero Watch criticised the decision. Director Andrew Montford said:

The insulation requirement was put in place to ensure heat pumps were only installed where they were likely to work. Removing a key consumer protection is hardly going to help the Government’s cause.

Mr. Montford points to a recent study of heat pump economics, which shows that, even in a well-insulated property, most heat pump installations do not give lower bills, let alone justifying the substantial capital costs. This is because electricity is four times the price of gas.

Mr. Montford said:

The contradictions in Government policy are becoming clear. Renewables are incompatible with heat pumps because they make electricity so much more expensive than gas. In their desperation to persuade consumers to switch anyway, ministers are proposing steps that would be foolish, are arguably unethical, and would certainly be counterproductive. This is a brand of fanaticism as dangerous as Mr. Khan’s Ulez obsession.

Yet another green technology being rejected by consumers because it is overpriced and doesn’t do the job.

Senate Minority ‘Leader’ Mitch McConnell, 81, freezes for the second time – as questions grow over his fitness to continue

Mitch McConnell, 81, carried on with his Wednesday evening plans with Republican Rep. Jim Banks just hours after freezing up in public for the second time in the matter of a month.

The episodes come amid growing concern over McConnell’s health following multiple falls in recent years – including one that led to a concussion and broken ribs.

The House Minority Leader made a series of calls to Senate allies following the latest troubling appearance, in an apparent effort to assure them of his health and drum up support as worries circulate over his age and fitness to continue serving.

South Dakota Sen. John Thune’s spokesperson Ryan Wrasse confirmed to DailyMail.com that the Minority Whip spoke with McConnell and the Leader ‘sounded like his usual self and was in good spirits.’

A spokesperson for Sen. John Barrasso (R-Wyo.) did not confirm that a call took place between the senators, but said they were aware of reports that the two spoke.

McConnell told Sen. John Cornyn (R-Texas) that he is doing well when the two spoke after the incident on Wednesday, a spokesperson for the senator confirmed to DailyMail.com.

McConnell, first elected to the Senate in 1984, is the longest-serving party leader.

The latest has renewed calls for term limits in the House and Senate – even from those within the walls of Congress.

Rep. Dean Phillips (D-Minn.) said the limits would help restore ‘human decency’ for elderly politicians like McConnell and Democratic California Sen. Dianne Feinstein, 90, who is also suffering public health scares.

‘For goodness sake, the family, friends, and staff of Senators Feinstein and McConnell are doing them and our country a tremendous disservice,’ Phillips wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.

‘It’s time for term limits for Congress and the Supreme Court, and some basic human decency.’

It doesn’t seem that the 30-second public freeze-up is being taken too seriously considering McConnell still met with Rep. Banks Wednesday evening.

‘Enjoyed a wide-ranging discussion with Leader McConnell this evening about the future of our country,’ Banks wrote in a tweet accompanied by an image of the two leaders sitting down together. ‘I look forward to working with him on issues confronting our bordering states.’

McConnell’s office said the Minority Leader was just feeling ‘lightheaded’ and assured he would consult a doctor as a precautionary measure.

The freeze on Wednesday came during a press conference in Kentucky when asked if he would run for Senate re-election in 2026.
