Operation Mass Formation
Despite an apparent shift in the mainstream narrative to the crisis in Ukraine, the Irish State’s Covid-19 propaganda war rages on. Popular TV shows, like RTE’s diet & fitness series Operation Transformation, are to be found on the frontline of this battle for hearts and minds.
“We need to sing again. We need to be Irish. We need to socialise. We need to be ourselves.”
So said Sarah, professional singer and mother from Ballina, County Tipperary, on the Late Late Show, only a few hours after Taoiseach (Prime Minister) Micheal Martin’s address to the nation and his surprise announcement that most of the Irish State’s Covid-19 restrictions were to be lifted almost immediately.
The Late Late Show, for those of you who may not know, is one of the world’s longest-running talk shows, and has been gracing Irish television screens, courtesy of state broadcaster RTE, every Friday evening since the 1960s.
Sarah’s comments, coming just after she’d performed a rousing showband style rendition of Ike and Tina Turner’s ‘River Deep – Mountain High’, seemed to capture the official (i.e. state-sanctioned) mood of the nation and prompted host Ryan Tubriday to gush “That is good stuff! Congratulations Sarah!”

Albury Wodonga Health declares Code Yellow over long weekend patient surge (of strokes and heart attacks)
Albury Wodonga Health has been forced to declare a Code Yellow incident after staff struggled to treat hundreds of patients in emergency departments at the weekend.
Key points:
Code Yellow is an internal emergency that can reduce the capacity for hospitals to function normally
More than 200 people are presenting to its emergency departments each day
Some elective surgeries have been rescheduled and ambulance waiting times are being impacted
An incident management team has been established in response to the more than 200 people presenting to Albury and Wodonga emergency departments per day since Saturday.
Chief operating officer Emma Poland said 227 people presented on Monday alone.
“People are unwell and needing emergency treatment,” she said.
“It’s really then about our capacity to see those patients in a timely way and then, when necessary, admit them into our acute hospitals.”
Ms Poland said the department was reporting a spike in category 2 patients, which are people presenting with conditions like chest pain or possible stroke and requiring an urgent care response within 10 minutes of arrival.

Bill Gates’ Controversial Ag Project Failed to Improve Food Security, Report Says
The first major evaluation of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation’s controversial efforts to expand capital-intensive, high-input agriculture in Africa found that the 15-year-effort has failed to achieve its goals of improving food security.
The Gates-led Alliance for a Green Revolution in Africa (AGRA) aimed to transform agriculture in Africa by increasing incomes and food security for millions of smallholder farmers. But an independent evaluation by the consulting firm Mathematica provides no evidence of progress toward these goals.
The evaluation posted Feb. 28 was funded by the Gates Foundation on behalf of AGRA’s lead donors, including the Rockefeller Foundation and government agencies in the U.S., U.K. and Germany. It is the only macro-level performance review of AGRA released to the public since the effort launched in 2006.
Still, the review of AGRA’s core strategy, the Partnership Inclusive Agricultural Transformation in Africa (PIATA), is far from comprehensive, covering just five years, leaving out many of AGRA’s target countries and offering few details on key metrics, including specifics on yields and incomes.
Although AGRA operates in 11 countries, the analysis reports only on select countries for each outcome it measured.
