Thai hunger strike activists demanding justice reforms fight for life in hospital

After 44 days of hunger strikes, two Thai activists in their early twenties were rushed to a hospital near Bangkok over the weekend amid fears they may not survive the night. The pair are demanding the release of political prisoners and urgent reforms of the Thai justice system, which has some of world’s strictest lèse majesté laws forbidding criticism of the monarchy.
